I strive for a very high level of detail, beautiful color and a good sense of light in my still-lifes. Set up in my studio and painted from real life, I make sure the composition and drawing are pushed as far as possible so as to obtain a beautiful painting full of vibrant color and soft light.

Once commissioned to paint a still-life, we meet in my studio where we can go over old master’s paintings and discuss your ideas and vision for the painting so as to establish an understanding of the composition and feel of the work. You can choose what objects you wish for me to paint whether they are yours or the ones you like in my collection.

I will work with you to help set up the still-life composition. This will include arranging the objects and establishing beautiful light to best complement the work. Depending on the complexity of the work, a still-life painting might take anywhere between 1-3 months during which time I will keep you updated on the process. Better time estimates are available once we have established our goal.

The wonderful thing about this type of painting is that you help me to make the end product by working with me to decide upon the objects and a composition.
